Guardrails

AI pilot design must define these before the pilot starts, not after:

  • Human-in-the-loop — Which outputs require human review before action?
  • Confidence thresholds — When does the model act autonomously vs escalate?
  • Approval rules — Who approves outputs for high-stakes decisions?
